Silicone Ring

During a pandemic, avoiding touching one’s face is of the utmost importance to prevent the spread of disease. However, the average person touches his/her face 23 times every hour, whether to scratch an itch or for nonverbal communication. These actions are subconscious and a challenge to avoid. The eye-catching ring turns the subconscious reflex into a conscious decision, empowering wearers with new control over their actions and health. The ring was designed for ME 216B: Advanced Product Design: Implementation at Stanford University.
